Ziyang Wang (王紫阳) is a New York–based photographer, videographer, and visual producer working across fashion, portraiture, and commercial imagery. He founded Ziyang Studio in Beijing in 2020 and later moved to New York, where he earned a BFA in Photography with a minor in Film from Pratt Institute. With over a decade of photography experience, he brings a distinctive visual sensibility and a hands-on approach to both still and moving images.
Beyond the Shoot
Known on Xiaohongshu as “纽约摄影师 Dennis,” Ziyang is a photography content creator with over 23,000 followers on the platform. Across Xiaohongshu and Instagram, he shares street portraits, fashion imagery, lighting techniques, and behind-the-scenes perspectives on professional shoots, offering insight into both his finished work and the process behind it.

Ziyang is the founder of New York Photo Studio (纽约照相馆), based at 56 Bogart Street in Brooklyn, New York. Working across two studio spaces, it specializes in studio portraits, professional headshots, and graduation photography.
The studio shares its space with YITUO LLC, an established production company and film equipment rental provider, and a close strategic partner. YITUO also leads the space’s arts programming, hosting exhibitions, creative experiences, and art and social events.

Working across studio and location settings, he blends flash with natural light to create images with depth, clarity, and character. His approach balances carefully constructed compositions with the energy and spontaneity of the people and environments in front of his camera.
Editorial & Motion Work
His photography has appeared in publications including ELLE China, Harper’s Bazaar China, and Marie Claire China, with cover credits for Artells, MOEVIR, SELIN, Rebel, and 17:23 Magazine. His personal work has also been exhibited in Beijing, Nanjing, and New York, including presentations at the Art Museum of Nanjing University of the Arts, Crossing Art Gallery, and A Space Gallery.
His motion work includes editorial video and behind-the-scenes storytelling. In collaboration with photography duo Caleb & Gladys, he has contributed videography to a Harper’s Bazaar Serbia cover shoot and Haute Living’s cover shoot featuring Kelsey Merritt. His fashion experience also includes runway and backstage photography for PINKSELFIE with Global Fashion Collective during New York Fashion Week. For independent runway shows held during fashion week, he has provided lighting direction and assembled and coordinated photography and media teams, bringing together the lighting, people, and production planning needed for cohesive show coverage.
Through Ziyang Studio, he creates campaigns, product imagery, portraits, event coverage, wedding photography, and branded photo and video content. His involvement spans creative development, lighting design, production coordination, photography, and post-production, maintaining a consistent visual direction from concept to final delivery.
